MakerBot's 3D Zee Is a Blank Slate for Would-Be Artists

With a blob of a body, no hair and an expressionless face, Zee is the world’s blandest 3D-printable fellow, and that’s just how 3D printer manufacturer MakerBot wants it. The little and typically white character may be the first 3D canvas for artists and designers, and now you can print him for free on you own MakerBot Replicator or buy a few pre-printed ones at the MakerBot store in downtown Manhattan.

If you do happen to go there, you’ll see a world of design possibilities. Zee, you see, was designed to be a blank slate for anyone with even just a little bit of creativity.
