Luke Shaw Hits Back at Daily Mirror over Post-Match Dinner Report

Manchester United signing Luke Shaw seems to be getting fed up with media criticism.

The England left-back, who left Southampton for Old Trafford this summer in a reported £33 million deal, has hit back at a tweet from the Daily Mirror accusing him of...eating dinner.

From the article:

He is expected to be out of action for up to a month but it didn't stop him venturing out with pals on Saturday evening.

Shaw was criticised by new boss Louis van Gaal over his fitness after returning to pre -season and it is unlikely his latest activity will bode well.

Shaw clearly took issue with the article, tweeting back at the Mirror, "Am I not allowed to go out for dinner?" He was not active for United's opening day defeat due to a hamstring injury.

What do you think—was this an example of media sensationalism, or should Shaw learn to keep a low profile after defeats?
