Aaron Ramsey's goal may have given Arsenal all three points against Crystal Palace on Saturday, but the victory came at a slight cost.
Gunners manager Arsene Wenger admitted that left-back Kieran Gibbs suffered what may be a hamstring injury. Wenger wasn't sure of the severity, per Rob Harris of The Associated Press:
Gibbs played 53 minutes in the win before being subbed off for Nacho Monreal.
During his time at the Emirates Stadium, the 24-year-old defender has built a reputation for being a bit injury prone. His injury isn't a surprise for the Gooners but frustrating nonetheless. One match into the season, and Gibbs is going down.
Arsenal don't have much depth at left-back, with Monreal the only natural replacement for Gibbs. If the England international is out for a while, Wenger might be tempted to wade into the transfer market to find reinforcements.
On the other hand, if Gibbs will only miss a week or two, then the club will be fine slotting Monreal into the starting lineup.
