Iraq Militants Likely to Stand Strong Through U.S. Airstrikes

The United States on Friday bombed Islamist militants in Iraq who had moved within striking distance of American personnel


But experts believe that it will take much more to dislodge the fighters of the Islamic State (formerly known as ISIS or ISIL.)



The militants have led an astonishingly quick, brutal and highly public campaign, taking huge swaths of territory across Syria and northern Iraq.
