Men introduced women to this invention many, many moons ago. And whether you love or loathe heels, pumps, or stilettos, it's pretty awesome to know who wore them first (guys) and what they were initially used for. Because when it comes time to smack patriarchy in the face — with whatever kicks we're into — it's good to have our facts straight.
