How Did Bats Cause An Outbreak Of One Of Humanity's Deadliest Diseases? And Why Is It Our Fault?

Some things are so dangerous that they can make any calm, rational person panic — and the Ebola virus is definitely near the top of that list.


The 2014 epidemic in west Africa (Ghana, Sierra Leone, Liberia, and Guinea) is so unrelenting, it feels like the whole world is panicking a little, continents away from the problem. But I have to admit finding out the reason this epidemic happened left me pretty speechless.
