India has the second-largest population in the world, but only half of them have access to a toilet. Oy. That means at least 620 million — almost double the population of the United States — must do their business outside in the open.
Are you like, "That’s really disgusting and must smell terrible"? Because I’m pretty sure most of the people affected would agree.
But when they have no other option, they're shit outta luck ... until they get access to the Poo Party below. (Yeah, really. It's a thing.)
This is definitely not a common topic, and yeah, it’s maybe even a little awkward. But this video from Unicef’s Poo2Loo campaign is not only real life for millions of people, it’s making a lot of them very sick, and we need to talk about it. More info on the Poo Party here.
