Despite a thumping victory over Benfica yesterday, Arsenal somehow managed to fail to win the Emirates Cup. In the final match of the tournament, they suffered a 1-0 defeat to AS Monaco.
After the match, Arsene Wenger was visibly annoyed by Arsenal's lacklustre performance. However, the result matters little. At the end of the day, this is still just a friendly. It's about examining the squad's capability and readiness for the forthcoming campaign.
