The Premier League kicked off this weekend, joining the likes of Ligue 1, the Eredivisie and the Russian Premier League, which were already underway, as most big clubs and leagues get settled into the rigours of competitive action once again.
While plenty of positives can be taken from most games for each side, there have of course been a few incidents involving moments of madness or downright stupidity.
Here are the biggest blunders of the weekend, starting with a much-publicised incident over in France.
