It started, says Joey Barton, with the QPR midfielder's treatment at the hands of Burnley fans.
Barton has been looking for revenge, and he took some on Sunday via his favourite medium of communication these days, Twitter.
Burnley fans responded in kind.
Barton fired back.
Burnley have already been promoted to the Premier League next season by virtue of their runners-up finish in the Championship. To join them, QPR must negotiate the play-offs.
Barton is ready for the challenge, it seems.
