England's Wayne Rooney shared his World Cup playlist with fans on Thursday, compiled using the music streaming service Spotify .
Rooney's selection includes tracks by English artists Ed Sheeran , Jake Bugg , Mumford and Sons and—perhaps surprisingly—James Blunt.
There's plenty of American influence too, with Rooney pulling in songs by Beyonce , Pharrell Williams, John Legend and Bruno Mars, amongst others.
"Little Lion Man," by Mumford and Sons seems to be a particularly apt choice as Rooney prepares to lead the Three Lions' attack in Brazil.
Should we also read into his choosing Pharrell 's huge hit "Happy"?
Overall, there's a sense this mix is designed to focus Rooney and put him in a calm, thoughtful place.
Are we reading too much into it? Of course we are, but there's a World Cup on the horizon!
