Detroit Lions vs. Arizona Cardinals: Live Score and Analysis for Arizona

Welcome to Week 11 of the 2014 NFL season. Another week, and the 8-1 Arizona Cardinals face another No. 2 seed in the NFC. This week, it's the Detroit Lions and their 7-2 record at University of Phoenix Stadium. We will have all the analysis your little hearts can handle, so keep it locked right here throughout the action.

When the Cardinals lost starting quarterback Carson Palmer to a knee injury in the fourth quarter of last week's 31-14 win over the St. Louis Rams, no one knew how long—if at all—the team would be without its captain.

Backup Drew Stanton relieved Palmer and promptly erased a four-point deficit by hurling a 48-yard touchdown pass to rookie receiver John Brown. The defense added two touchdowns down the stretch to pull away, and the game was won.

Attention quickly shifted to Palmer after the game, as everyone wanted to know the extent of his injury. Out for the remainder of the season with a torn ACL—the same one he tore in 2006—Palmer must now be a cheerleader for Stanton as the newly minted starter attempts to pick up where Palmer left off by extending the team's current five-game winning streak.

It's a tall order, considering the opponent. Detroit brings with it the No. 1 scoring defense in the league, allowing just 15.8 points per game. Expect the Lions to stack the box to key on running back Andre Ellington, daring Stanton to beat them.

Can he beat them?
