Apple has publicly responded to the newly revealed iOS vulnerability that allows attackers to install malware that replaces your legitimate apps. For example, you could receive a prompt to install a new "Facebook" app, and the malware would then supersede the actual Facebook app, leaving something nasty in its place.
The tech company said in statement that the vulnerability hasn't been used against customers, and security measures are in place to prevent bad software from making its way onto your device.
"We designed OS X and iOS with built-in security safeguards to help protect customers and warn them before installing potentially malicious software," an Apple spokesman told Mashable"We’re not aware of any customers that have actually been affected by this attack." Read more...
