LOS ANGELES — There is something this side of unsettling about the first episode of the final season of Mad Men, which the world will be discussing to death in a few days' time.
Foremostly, we will want to talk about where it is pointing us, what clues it holds about how Mad Men will "end" — and I use air quotes because a show like this does not simply end. Up until this point, nothing about Matthew Weiner's running masterpiece of mundane mysteries says that the Big Reveal is coming, or even that "Don't Stop Believin'" will come on the jukebox and we'll fade to black.
