U.S. tennis player vomits on court in Australian Open match, rallies to win

On Day 1 of the Australian Open in Melbourne, the audience got a little more than it bargained for


American player Christina McHale, 22, vomited on the court during the intense third set of her battle with French player Stephanie Foretz on Monday. In remarkable form, McHale went on to win, 6-4, 1-6, 12-10, in the 3-hour, 8-minute marathon match



The footage played on ESPN, multiple times and in slow motion, shows the world No. 54 bending over on the side of the court and throwing up


"I realised I hadn't been feeling well, and finally I knew it was coming up," McHale told reporters, according to USA Today . "I felt so much better after it happened. I don't know what caused it." Read more...
