A construction worker was killed and a tractor-trailer driver was injured late Monday night when an old overpass collapsed on southbound I-75 in Cincinnati, officials said.

The fallen bridge, which was a decommissioned offramp, was in the process of being demolished, the Cincinnati Fire Department said on Twitter. I-75 was closed and emergency crews were at the scene.

Dramatic photos on Twitter showed that the fallen concrete had apparently sheared off the front of the tractor-trailer.

The overpass was the old northbound offramp to Hopple Street, officials said.
