Crisis averted: Major League Soccer players and owners finally agreed on a new labor deal Wednesday, just two days before the league's 20th season kicks off with a match between the Chicago Fire and defending champion Los Angeles Galaxy. A work stoppage could have been crippling, as the league looks to capitalize on last summer's World Cup buzz in continuing to raise its standing and stature globally
