Selection Sunday's bracket announcement revealed that the Iowa Hawkeyes and the Davidson Wildcats would face off in the first round of the 2015 NCAA tournament.
The Hawkeyes had just one concern: Stephen Curry.
Before he was a legitimate NBA MVP candidate, Curry put both himself and Davidson on the map with a magical run in the 2008 NCAA tournament. The Wildcats made it to the Elite Eight behind their star player before a two-point loss to No. 1 seed Kansas ended the Cinderella story.
Knowing that Curry's presence would help Davidson make a deep run in this year's tournament, Iowa wanted to make sure the Golden State Warriors star was not eligible to play in the game.
That's a big break for the Hawkeyes.
