The crash of Germanwings Flight 9525 took a disturbing turn Thursday after investigators said co-pilot Andreas Lubitz deliberately crashed the plane in the French Alps. All 150 people on board were killed.
Cockpit recordings recovered from the scene include the sounds of one of the pilots leaving and then attempting to re-enter the cockpit. He is heard banging on the door; near the end, there are sounds of passengers screaming. Lubitz's psychological state and previous evaluations are now at the center of the investigation.
