Taylor Swift Wonders Why We Think It's Weird When She Does It But Normal When Male Singers Do It

There are so many articles about Taylor Swift's dating life — many more than other "starlets," a term used to excuse the rifling through young lady's life. It's usually explained away by saying most of her songs are about her real relationships. Hear from Ms. Swift herself about why that is actually a gigantic problem.

When Maroon 5 released its debut album "Songs About Jane," I always thought to myself, "Why does no one care about Jane's perspective in this?" An interviewer asked singer Adam Levine once, and he said "It's my ex-girlfriend." And then everyone was like, "OK, take off your shirt again please!"

He wrote a whole album about "Jane" and all people can focus on is his abs. And yet, to this day, people still wonder who Carly Simon wrote "You're So Vain" about. A song from 1972. 1972, you guys. Why is all the focus on the man in the relationship, no matter who is singing?

Original interview with Jules, Merrick & Sophie. Quote graphic care of yours truly, who you could Like on Facebook if you want. No pressure. Found via Mic.
