Tensions Escalate in Ukraine Over Fears of Russian Invasion

Ukrainian military forces are now at their highest alert status, a move the country’s interim President Oleksandr Turchynov says is in preparation for a possible Russian invasion, Euronews reports.

“I once again return to the real danger of the Russian Federation beginning a land war against Ukraine," Turchynov said. "Our armed forces have been put on full military readiness.”
