There's a big, controversial article on the cover of The Atlantic magazine about a big, controversial idea to solve America's ongoing race problem. The idea isn't new, and it's certainly not popular. The author himself used to think it was totally crazy! But what I love about the first four minutes of this interview is that he makes clear that the solution to our ongoing racial discord, whatever it may be, isn’t black or white. It's American. That outlook makes me feel really hopeful about us figuring out this complicated issue — together.
