Top 10 High Buildings – Part 1

High buildings represent world wonders and always caused excitement among people. Not everyone can climb to some high spot to enjoy the panorama which stretches before his eyes. However, the feeling to experience something like that is priceless. Well, adventurous souls, we present the top 5 highest buildings. However do not look down!

1. Eiffel Tower

“Parisian lady “, as usually called in France is built by the tower engineer Eiffel in 1889. This gigantic iron structure was built on the Martian fields along the river Seine in the “City of Light”. Named after its designer, today represents one of the most visited tourist attractions. The metal structure of the Eiffel Tower weighs 7,300 tons, and the total weight is 10,100 tons. The tower is 300 meters high, but together with the antenna of 24 meters, the structure is 324 meters high.

2. Burj Khalifa

The feelings while you seeing the world from the top of the tallest building in the world Burj Khalifa skyscraper in Dubai probably are indescribable. The skyscraper was opened in January 2010 and with its 829 meters simply installs awe. In it are located living apartments, hotels and numerous offices.

3. Abraj Al Bait

The third largest building and the highest clock tower in the world is Abraj al-Bait in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. 601 meter high building was completed in 2012 and contains a prayer room, hotel and shopping centre on 20 floors. Under the clock on all four sides stand the inscription “In the name of Allah.” The clock is illuminated by 21,000 white and green lights and can be seen from a distance of 25 kilometers.

4. Spring Temple Buddha

Because tourists are not only attracted by buildings, we present the Spring Temple Buddha in Lushan, China. It is the tallest statue in the world. With a height of 153 meters, including the pedestal, this statue of copper was completed in 2008.

5. Homeland Mother call

At the time of construction in 1967, “Homeland mother calls” in Volgograd, Russia, was declared as the highest monument in the world. It is 87 meters, measured from the tip of the sword to the pedestal and is made of concrete. A two hundred stairs that should climb to reach the statue are symbolizing the 200 days of the Battle of Stalingrad.
