Columbus Blue Jackets All-Star goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky exited the ice during Wednesday's road game against the Winnipeg Jets due to injury.
Hockey Night in Canada's Elliotte Friedman reported what led to Bobrovsky going down:
Blue Jackets fans will hope their standout netminder is back between the pipes soon. The team struggled with injuries early in the 2014-15 NHL season and has recovered well under the circumstances, but losing Bobrovsky would be another dire setback.
The hope is Bobrovsky is fit enough to participate in the All-Star Game this coming Sunday, which will be held in Columbus at Nationwide Arena.
At least the break in regular-season action offers a chance for Bobrovsky to recover should he need time off for the foreseeable future.
