With the Ohio State Buckeyes backed up deep in their own territory late in the fourth quarter during Thursday's 42-35 Sugar Bowl win over the Alabama Crimson Tide, running back Ezekiel Elliott came through for his team in a big way.
On 1st-and-10 from the Buckeyes' 15-yard line with Ohio State leading 34-28, Elliott took the handoff and used his speed to burst through the Crimson Tide defense. He went 85 yards for the touchdown to give his team a two-score lead.
The run was the longest play Alabama had given up all season.
The Buckeyes converted the ensuing two-point conversion attempt for a 42-28 cushion with 3:24 to play in the fourth quarter.
