London holds coalition talks to discuss ISIS

LONDON — Foreign ministers from 22 countries are meeting Thursday to discuss ways to tackle the Islamic State (ISIS) group.



U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry is joining UK Foreign Secretary Phillip Hammond at the talks, along with representatives from Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Bahrain, Turkey, Egypt and several other countries.


Writing in The Telegraph , Hammond outlined the reasons for the conference. Referring to the attacks in Sydney and Paris, and the recent raids in Belgium, he said "we are in the midst of a generational struggle against a poisonous extremist ideology." Read more...
