'Wet Hot American Summer' series is coming to Netflix with reunited cast

LOS ANGELES — Wet Hot American Summer made $17,000 in its opening weekend in theaters, on its way to a $292,000 domestic haul, the very definition of a flop.


That was 2001, when Bradley Cooper and Elizabeth Banks were struggling to break into TV (each had tiny one-off roles on separate episodes of Sex and the City), Paul Rudd was still best known as Josh from Clueless and Amy Poehler was still playing Stacy, Andy's Little Sister on Late Night with Conan O'Brien
