Charlotte Hornets rookie P.J. Hairston found himself in the unenviable position of guarding San Antonio Spurs point guard Tony Parker, and he thought he'd found a way to thwart the mismatch.
By flailing his arms and throwing himself out of bounds , Hairston assumed a foul call was imminent.
Picking himself up when he heard no whistle must have been particularly humbling—especially after Parker assisted Danny Green for a wide-open three-pointer.
