TORONTO — Mayor Rob Ford has been diagnosed with a rare type of cancer, and will undergo chemotherapy, Mount Sinai Hospital's Dr. Zane Cohen announced Wednesday
Ford has malignant liposarcoma, which begins in the fat cells, Cohen told reporters at a news conference. The renowned colorectal surgeon described Ford's tumor as "fairly aggressive" and "very difficult," but said he remains "optimistic" because Mount Sinai has in-house experts that treat sarcoma
