It doesn't matter that Caprock High School (Amarillo, Texas) got a free play and lucky bounce. All that matters is that the Longhorns got a touchdown on the play.
After a defensive lineman jumped offside before the snap, Caprock's quarterback decided to take a shot down the field. The defender initially made a good play to break up the pass, but he tried to do too much after that and ended up popping the ball up into the air. That allowed Longhorns receiver Austin Cruz-Riley to come back to get the ball and eventually make his way into the end zone.
The 57-yard touchdown may have been lucky, but Caprock still gets the points.
