St. Louis Rams vs. San Diego Chargers: Live San Diego Score and Analysis

Philip Rivers will have a target on his back this Sunday when the San Diego Chargers host the St. Louis Rams at 4:05 p.m. ET on Fox.

Rivers took a beating in last week's 13-6 victory over the Oakland Raiders and finds himself on the injury report for the first time since 2007 with a chest injury. San Diego (6-4) has allowed nine sacks in its last four games, and protecting the star quarterback doesn't get any easier in Week 12 against a Rams defense that has notched 13 sacks in the last three games.

After going the first five games of the season without a sack, Robert Quinn has tallied six in his last five outings for St. Louis (4-6). The Rams cut down the Denver Broncos 22-7 despite Peyton Manning throwing for 389 yards. Tre Mason, the 75th pick overall, gashed the Broncos defense for 113 yards on the ground, and free-agent pickup Kenny Britt totaled 128 yards receiving with a touchdown.

The Chargers and Rams rank 24th and 29th, respectively, in total offense. Both squads have struggled to move the ball and put up points, but look for the running game to be heavily featured. Mason has quietly assumed the role of bell-cow back in the Rams offense, averaging 20.6 carries the last three games, and Ryan Mathews is primed for more work with the Chargers after the 70-yard day he had against the Raiders.
