Ravens' Steve Smith Is Using Money from Panthers to Go on Bye-Week Vacation

Steve Smith wasn't pleased with how his time with the Carolina Panthers ended earlier this year, but he was more than happy to take a $5 million check that the team owed him on his way out.

In fact, the veteran receiver revealed during an interview on Jim Rome on Showtime that he is looking forward to using that money from the Panthers to go on a vacation during the Baltimore Ravens' bye week in Week 11.

Smith was able to get a hefty check as a lovely parting gift, then got his revenge on the Panthers early in the 2014 season. In Week 4, the 35-year-old wideout had seven catches for 139 yards and two touchdowns in a 38-10 victory over Carolina.

Knowing that he has gotten revenge on his former team already should make this vacation even sweeter for Smith.
