How have Liverpool ended up here?
The heady days of January to April 2014 now seem like a long time ago, as the Reds team which dominated plenty of Premier League opponents, entertained everyone and seemed to score goals at will on their way to almost winning the title has long gone.
They've now lost four games in a row, and three in a row in the Champions League, to leave their hopes in a competition they were so excited to rejoin now hanging by a thread.
A victory over Bulgaria's Ludogorets is now needed at the Vasil Levski Stadium in Sofia, or more uncomfortable questions will be asked of manager Brendan Rodgers. That victory will be tough to achieve, though, as Ludogorets proved incredibly tough to break down during Liverpool's 2-1 win on Matchday 1 in September when a Steven Gerrard penalty in stoppage time saved their blushes.
With Gerrard and his teammates desperately struggling for form, it's going to take somebody in red to step forward and inspire his side here, but who will it be?
This feels like a pivotal game for Rodgers in his Liverpool reign, and against a side who will be equally determined to pick up three points to prolong their stay in the competition.
It's on a knife-edge, then, and you can join me for live build-up from 6:30 p.m. GMT and 1:30 p.m. ET, following which we'll have live commentary and highlights.
Until then, try and keep the nerves in check.
