It seems rumors about a Twitch purchase deal are the song of the summer.

Amazon could be nearing a deal to purchase game streaming service Twitch for $1 billion, according to a report posted by business blog The Information on Monday afternoon.

The Information cited "a source near the deal" in its report. The story was later echoed by reports in The Wall Street Journal and Bloomberg.
