Square Adds Pre-Orders for Users on the Go

Square is venturing more aggressively into the restaurant business.


The San Francisco-based mobile payments company added of a new pre-order feature Tuesday that allows retailers to accept payment and orders online before customers arrive for a pickup.



Retailers can offer their products on Square Market for pre-order, and customers can purchase and pay for items on web or mobile ahead of time with Square Wallet


The new feature works for any retailer, but seems to make the most sense for restaurants and coffee shops that deal with customers on the go.
