Dubbed the “Harvard of the 21st Century” by Slate Maagazine2 Stanford University in San Francisco is a research university which is ranked among the best academic institutions in the world. With its diverse selection of faculties, the college hosts galleries and exhibits which are open to the general public.

Run by the Cedar Fair Entertainment Company, California’s Great America Theme Park is a family theme park which includes a great selection of rides and attractions. With thrilling roller coasters such as the Gold Striker giving older guests a heart-pounding adrenaline rush, younger visitors will delight in the carousels and swings.

Fisherman’s Wharf

Fisherman’s Wharf gained its name from the 19th-century culture of Italian Immigrant fisherman in the area. The Wharf is located on the waterfront of the city and includes a range of museums and shopping destinations. With its beautiful views over the San Francisco Bay, Fisherman’s Wharf includes the Musee Mecanique, a museum full of vintage arcade machines, as well as the Powell Hyde Cable Cart which stops off in the area. Teeming with mouthwatering restaurants and quirky pier side attractions, the Fisherman’s Wharf is one of the top spots for tourists in the city.

Golden Gate Bridge

The Golden Gate Bridge is the iconic red suspension Bridge running across the San Francisco Bay. This 1.6-kilometer bridge links San Francisco to Marin County, and dates to 1932 when construction started. This bridge has become the icon of the city, and no visit is complete without at least a glimpse of it.
