Date: December 9 and 10

Want to engage in that classic of wintertime sports? Check out US Coachways holiday event at the Wollman Rink in Central Park. Put on your ice skating shoes and prepare to have fun with friends and family while listening to some spectacular on-air shows. 106.7 Lite-FM will be airing from this location and will feature Bob Bronson and Christine Nagy for a two-hour holiday special on December 9. The Delilah Show will air for two hours from 2:30 to 4:30 in the afternoon. On December 10th, Rich Kaminski will be broadcasting live from the Wollman Rink from 11 to 1. And Victor Sosa in the afternoon slot from 2:30 to 4:30.

Dates: December 8th through 22

The story of Scrooge and his redemption is set during Christmastime. And some see the tale as largely responsible for many of the Christmas traditions we celebrate today. The Holiday Train Show

Date: Every day of December through to February 4th

A can’t-be-missed attraction for the holiday season, visit the 16th Annual Holiday Train Show at Grand Central station. This holiday enchantment is sure to delight children both young and old with the intricate displays of model trains. The vast model set is placed against the backdrop of a holiday scene. And for die-hard train-spotters, check out other exhibits that the New York Transit Museum has to offer. The Holiday Train Show exhibit is open from 8 in the morning to 8 at night from Monday to Friday. On Saturday and Sunday, the hours change to 10 in the morning to 6 in the evening.

Downton Abbey – The Exhibition

Date: Month of December

Based on the vastly popular BBC show of the same name, the exhibit takes guests to post-Edwardian-era England. The displays showcase the clothes, social mores, history, and culture of this time period. And, of course, there are moments from the television show captured brilliantly within the hall’s walls.

Guests can expect to take anywhere from 60 to 90 minutes to explore the exhibit. Although, you can also take as long as you wish. The exhibit administrators picked a perfect time for their run. Who wouldn’t want to spend a Christmas day in Downton Abbey? The exhibit is open every day from 10 in the morning to 8 in the evening. Certain days may have earlier closing times, so call in if you are hoping to go in the evening.

Amateur Night Holiday Special at the Apollo

Date: December 9

The 7th annual event of its kind, get ready for an evening of talented singers, instrumentalists, and dances. These up and coming young hopefuls have enough talent to make it to the Apollo stage for their holiday show, but do they have what it takes to win your heart? Only you get to decide that.

Their version includes hip-hop with other dance genres, accompanied by the traditional ballet elements. This ballet showcases not only the artistic drive of the Brooklyn Ballet art director. But also the cultural diversity of Brooklyn city itself.
