Why Air France's 'simply chic' safety video warns of lost cellphones

Air France has a new safety video that includes one warning even the most frequent fliers may not have seen before.


"In case of the loss of an electronic device, please avoid manipulating your seat," the woman says in the video, "and call a crew member."



That warning comes after several incidents involving smartphones containing lithium-ion batteries and overheating, smoking seats. The batteries can pose a fire hazard and are often cited in aircraft incidentsQuel nightmare.
