U.S. consumer prices keep rising, and that's actually a good thing

Prices in America are rising — and, surprisingly, that's a good thing


New economic numbers released today show that your dollar might not go quite as far now as it did, especially when it comes to paying for an apartment or house


Among the other goods that rose in price, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, are used cars and trucks, apparel, new vehicles, tobacco and airline fares



The core consumer-price index (CPI), which measures inflation, rose 0.2% in February. The core CPI is an economic indicator that measures the prices that U.S. consumers pay for most daily goods.
