Brendan Rodgers gave little away when answering questions about Burnley striker Danny Ings on Monday, opting to praise manager Sean Dyche's entire team ahead of the relegation-threatened side's trip to Anfield.
Liverpool are currently linked with a move for Ings , reported by Simon Jones of Daily Mail. Rodgers spoke tactfully in his pre -match presser, per Tony Barrett of The Times:

Liverpool welcome Burnley to Anfield on Wednesday in excellent form. Sunday's 2-1 win over Manchester City marked 11 games unbeaten in the Premier League, a run which has pushed the Reds two points short of a Champions League place.
Manchester United are currently struggling to maintain fourth and face a difficult run to the end of the season, with matches against Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester City, Tottenham and Arsenal all on the agenda.
While Jordan Henderson and Philippe Coutinho scored cracking goals to lead the Merseyside club beyond City, Rodgers was keen to express the importance of Joe Allen, who worked doggedly to halt Yaya Toure and Fernandinho in the centre of the pitch.

Allen won three tackles and made two interceptions in the centre of the park, per WhoScored .com, imposing himself on more physically strapped opponents with his willingness to get things done. He ran tirelessly, completing 87.7 percent of his 57 passes in one of his best performances since moving to the club.
Supporters may begin to question how captain Steven Gerrard is going to fit into the team when he returns. Both Allen and Henderson underlined their credentials during the City win, meaning the boss is likely to soon have a difficult decision on his hands.
Rodgers suggests Gerrard will return soon, with youngster Jordon Ibe likely to miss the next month, per Pearce:
Liverpool have hit form at the right time and may well look back at the triumph over City as a pivotal moment in their season. The side haven't lost inside 90 minutes across all competitions since December, suggesting a return to Champions League football is growing likelier by the week.
Ings could well have a part to play in this potential jaunt next season, but there's plenty of work to do before the summer market opens.
Rodgers has whipped his men into shape and will be hoping to further underline Liverpool's qualities with a simple victory over Burnley , who have won just one of their 13 away trips so far.
Should Ings put in a great performance, Rodgers may be forced to address him after the match.
