Something strange is afoot in the Sony hack. The "leaks" from the administration to the New York Times, the Associated Press, and CNN are clearly official leaks: deliberate communication from the administration to the press.

Now one possibility is that Obama, like Bush, is trying to "WMD" the press: using official leaks to deceive the public. The other possibility is the administration is now confident that North Korea is behind the Sony hack, but can't reveal the intelligence: the administration officially believes that North Korea hacked Sony, without officially making it official.
