The Obamas' fabled first date gets a movie: 'Southside With You'

The Obamas are having another first date, and yep — they're going back to the movies.

Southside With You, an new independent feature film based on a screenplay by director Richard Tanne, will focus on the president and first lady's fabled first date in 1989, according to Deadline film writer Jen Yamato. Tanne will also direct the film, which Yamato reported will have a cinéma-vérité vibe, like Before Sunset.
