Not all Chromebooks are created equally, but if you look at what’s actually in them... they actually are. They almost always have Intel Celeron processors, either 2GB or 4GB of RAM, a half-reasonable display, and everything else a laptop requires. The only real difference most of the time is the quality of the keyboard, trackpad and whichever name is on the machine.
