It's been a tough go of it lately for Michigan Wolverines fans. First, the storied football team went 5-7, with a 3-5 record in the Big Ten. Its head coach, Brady Hoke, was fired on December 2.
Now, the struggles have hit the basketball team. Fans were surely expecting to mend their broken hearts with some good old-fashioned basketball dominance. Playing NJIT (who lost 51 straight games from 2007-2009) at home would be a good pick-me-up, right?
Well, No. 17 Michigan lost to NJIT, 72-70, on Saturday morning. The above image of a stressed out and sad Michigan fan apprehensively fist-pumping to his school's fight song accurately tells the story.
