Actress Hayley Atwell is filming "Agent Carter," a show based on her character from the "Captain America" movies.
She recently posted a picture from the set of their "badass female Camera Operator":

But one person was not thrilled by her phrasing.

In case you haven't heard, it's 2014 and women are still making only 78 cents for every dollar men make doing the same job .
And those stats only get worse for women of color .
The best part of this conversation though?
THEY BOTH MAKE GREAT POINTS.
We shouldn't have to call out a person's gender when they're doing a job that a person of any gender can do and do well...
...but at the same time, until women are just as likely to get a job in a (currently) predominantly male industry AND get paid equally for that job, it's important to show people that women can and do hold those jobs.

Atwell's tweets are particularly relevant in the wake of the December 2014 Sony hack in which it was revealed that Jennifer Lawrence got paid less than her male co-stars on the set of "American Hustle" AND that Sony's female co-president has a salary that's almost a million dollars less than its male co-president's (reminder: "co" usually means equal).
