Ferguson businesses crowdfund to rebuild after riots

Dozens of businesses in Ferguson were looted, damaged or destroyed in the riots that followed a grand jury's decision to not indict Officer Darren Wilson, who shot and killed Michael Brown in August.


The majority of those businesses, most of them on West Florissant Avenue — located near the apartments where Brown was shot and the site of the August protests — were owned by locals who seemingly to lost everything.



Nearly 13,500 people across the globe have donated $500,000 on the crowdfunding site GoFundMe.com to help the businesses rebuild, according to a Washington Post report Read more...
