It didn't look like Kansas City Chiefs receiver Dwayne Bowe was going to be able to pick up a first down on a third down late in the second quarter of Sunday's game against the Arizona Cardinals. However, he had a trick up his sleeve that helped him make things happen.
On 3rd-and-19 from around Arizona's 35-yard line, Bowe caught a pass a couple of yards down the field. Then, he started to work his way through the defense.
With two Cardinals defenders closing in on him at the 25-yard line, Bowe left his feet in order to avoid getting tackled.
Bowe's hurdle helped him get all the way to the 13-yard line, picking up the first down along the way. Kansas City scored on the next play—after a false start—to take a 14-6 lead.
