The Nebraska Cornhuskers, one of just two remaining undefeated teams in the Big Ten, face a must-win for not only their own playoff hopes but for the general respect of the Big Ten as a conference.
The Huskers (3-0) host the Hurricanes from the University of Miami (2-1) in the first of a home-and-home series that will move to South Beach next season. The Canes hope to make a little noise in the ACC's Coastal Division this season despite losing a Week 1 conference matchup to Louisville.
This game also is a rekindling of a rivalry that saw some great contests in the postseason decades ago, when both Miami and Nebraska were chasing down national championships. This is the 11th meeting all-time but just the fifth regular-season meeting (and first non-bowl meeting since 1976). The series is tied 5-5.
