'Dance Central' Makers Want to You Grooving to Current Top 40 Hits

Two years ago, no one could escape Gangnam Style. The K-Pop hit had everyone imitating Psy's galloping dance at every potential public event.


But when a video game about duplicating dance moves wanted to bring the hit to its audiences, things slowed down far below the speed of virality. For Harmonix, the studio responsible for Dance Central, the manpower was going to take months.



"We worked evenings and weekends to get 'Gangnam Style' in the game, and even still that took much longer than we would have liked, but it was a huge seller," Harmonix Chief Creative Officer Alex Rigopulos told Mashable. "But we definitely missed peak Gangnam mania." Read more...
