Boston College's football team will pay tribute to an alum and hero from the September 11 attacks with these "Red Bandanna" helmets and uniforms this week against USC.
Welles Crowther was a 24-year-old New York equity trader who saved dozens of lives during the 9/11 attacks. Crowther wore his red bandanna to protect him from the smoke on September 11 and was known for wearing it under his helmet while playing lacrosse for Boston College.
